Major League Eating: The Game - Meet the Eaters Week 2

San Francisco, Calif. - May 27, 2008 - /Note to Editors: In Mastiff's
upcoming WiiWare(tm) release, /Major League Eating: The Game/ players
control professional eaters in epic one-on-one gurgitory battles. For
three weeks, we'll be releasing information about the eaters featured in
/Major League Eating: The Game/, including their real-life stats and
accomplishments, as well as their unique strengths and vulnerabilities
in the game. / / /

/Eater bios and art can be downloaded from the MMPR ftp site at
inside the Mastiff folder./

Erik "The Red" Denmark
Seattle, WA
Age: 29
Weight: 208 pounds

Erik "the Red" Denmark, a golfer living in Seattle, embodies his
namesake's passionate hunger and also enjoys a similar respect - not
just from Greenlanders, but from all who have witnessed his tireless
determination at the competitive eating table. He boasts a tolerance for
hot and spicy fare, having performed in jalapeńos, huevos rancheros, and
buffalo wings. In /Major League Eating: The Game/, Erik dominates the
competition when shrimp is involved, and is especially strong when it
comes to Spicy, a flaming belch of flames. He's most vulnerable to
Rotten Food.

Native American Fry Bread: 9.75 in 8 minutes
Shrimp: 4 lbs, 15 oz. Spot shrimp in 12 minutes
45 Krystal Burgers in 8 minutes
61 Hard-Boiled Eggs in 8 minutes

Richard "The Locust" LeFevre
Henderson, NV
Age: 63
Weight: 132

The Locust is known for a strong jaw, and stomach capacity that seems to
increase, not decrease, as a contest progresses. Previously considered
an outsider in the competitive eating community, LeFevre embraced the
formal eating circuit for the first time in 2002, participating in hot
dogs, all-you-can-eat buffet and chili. Since then his prowess and
reputation have grown. In /Major League Eating: The Game/, LeFevre
shines when confronted with Jalapeńos or Spicy, but has difficulties
with Antacid.

Jalapeńos: 247 in 8 minutes
Huevos Rancheros: 7.75 lbs in 10 minutes
SPAM: 6 lbs in 12 minutes
Chili: 1.5 Gallons in 10 minutes

Patrick "Deep Dish" Bertoletti
Chicago, IL
Age: 22
Weight: 190

Patrick Bertoletti is a gurgitating force of nature. He has beaten every
major eater, taking out two superstars at one chomp on October 9, 2007
with his victory over Takeru Kobayashi and Joey Chestnut in the Spike TV
televised Las Vegas chicken wing "Chowdown." Bertoletti considers
himself a sweet specialist but proven himself capable of claiming
victory regardless of food type. Some say the intimate knowledge of food
he carries as a recent culinary school graduate gives him an unfair
advantage. Others credit his habit of using the music of Irish punk band
Dropkick Murphys, channeled in via earphones, to maintain pace during
competitions. However, no one disputes his stature as true force of
nature in competitive eating and one of the greatest eaters of all time.
In /Major League Eating: The Game/, Bertoletti is strong in Pizza-eating
events and Mustard Gas, a dangerous gaseous cloud, but weak against

Grits: 21 lbs in 10 minutes
Waffles: 14.5 lbs in 10 minutes
Strawberry Shortcake: 15.25 lbs in 8 minutes
Ice Cream: 1.75 Gallons in 8 minutes

"El Toro" Jimenez
Las Vegas, NV
Age: 30
Weight: 187

El Toro has a big mouth, although it doesn't seem to serve him well in
competition. Fond of extravagant claims, personal attacks on other
eaters and all sorts of theatrics, he is usually at the bottom of the
pack at the end of any given contest. Other eaters see him as abrasive,
offensive, and void of talent. He does, however, contribute to the sport
by setting an example of what not do

6.66 lbs Cranberry Sauce in 8 minutes
10 Nathan's Famous Hot Dogs in 12 minutes
11 Bratwurst in 10 minutes
34 Hard-Boiled Eggs in 8 minutes

Wii-kly Update: Two WiiWare Games and Two Virtual Console Games Added to Wii Shop Channel

This week’s Wii-kly Update pretty much covers the full spectrum.
Maybe you’ll want to blast away with an arsenal of old-school weapons. But
then again, three-day weekends are a good time to relax. So maybe you’ll
take a wild road trip or settle in for some table tennis. And if you
overdo it, we have a physician standing by.

Nintendo adds new and classic games to the Wii Shop Channel at 9 a.m.
Pacific time every Monday. Wii™ owners with a high-speed Internet
connection can redeem Wii Points™ to download the games. Wii Points can be
purchased in the Wii Shop Channel or at retail outlets. This week’s new
games are:

Dr. Mario® Online Rx (Nintendo, 1-4 players, Rated E for Everyone,
1,000 Wii Points): The doctor is in! Mario™ takes a break from his
adventuring ways and once again dons his stethoscope for a new generation
of germ-battling mayhem. In addition to the classic mode of using vitamins
to exterminate viruses, you’ll find two battle modes and an online
multiplayer mode where you can hone your skills against players from
around the world. Feel like challenging a friend who doesn’t have Dr.
Mario Online Rx? Then the WiiWare-exclusive Friend Battle Demo is just
what the doctor ordered. Or maybe you’d like some help taking on
those nasty viruses? Try out Virus Buster, where four players can
simultaneously move capsules simply by pointing at them with a Wii Remote™
controller. Any way you look at it, Dr. Mario Online Rx is a prescription
for fun that everyone can enjoy.

Family Table Tennis (Aksys Games, 1-2 players, Rated E for Everyone,
500 Wii Points): It’s time for some good old family fun, and what’s more
fun than table tennis? Just like a real family, choose your character from
a cast of four, which includes Daddy, Mommy, Sarah and Billy. There are
four table tennis-tastic stages where it doesn’t matter if you’re an
indoors or outdoors table-tennis player. Pick your poison from a
gymnasium, a forest park, a beach or even an amusement park. Choose from
Single or Versus mode, or select a minigame to play. In Versus mode, you
and a friend can play against each other to see who is the better
table-tennis player. And if Single and Versus modes aren’t enough, select
between three minigames, which include Target Table Tennis, Thrilling
Table Tennis and Matching Table Tennis. The appealing cell-shaded graphics
and endearing music, on top of the super-fun game play, will have you and
your family playing from morning till night. Get your paddles ready.

Virtual Console™

City Connection™ (NES®, 1-2 players, Rated E for Everyone –
Comic Mischief, Tobacco Reference, 500 Wii Points): Based on the arcade
hit, a young man born in California sets out to tour famous sites and
cities around the world. As he drives the highways surrounding these
locations, the road is painted white as proof of his visit. Only once all
sections of the road have been painted will he move on to the next
location in his world tour. Not surprisingly, the local police will chase
the driver and do their best to stop him from completing his goal. In
addition, cats roam the highways and spikes lie in wait for unsuspecting
drivers. To combat these dangers, the driver’s customized car can
jump, fire cans of oil and collect balloons to warp to a new stage. It’s
the ultimate road trip.

Metal Slug (NEOGEO, 1-2 players, Rated T for Teen – Blood, Violence,
900 Wii Points): Released in 1996 by SNK, Metal Slug is a side-scrolling
military-action game. Players control Marco and Tarma, both members of the
special-ops force Team Peregrine Falcon (commonly known as Team PF), and
battle their way through stage after stage of intense action. The goal is
to try to overthrow General Morden and win back the stolen weapon, the
Metal Slug. Players must blast through waves of enemies and machines
(while also jumping over any obstacles in the way) to advance through the
stages. It’s not as hopeless as it might sound, though—weapons such
as heavy machine guns, shotguns, rocket launchers and flamethrowers, as
well as the Metal Slug itself (which appears frequently in the game), will
make the battle easier. Take on General Morden with a friend to lighten
your load and ramp up the excitement even more.

NCsoft Covers New Ground in City of Heroes

/Newest expansion takes players to ancient city to save the present day/

* *

*AUSTIN, Texas, May 21, 2008*—NCsoft^® Corporation, the world’s leading
developer and publisher of online computer games, today announced the
release of /City of Heroes/^® “Issue 12: Midnight Hour.” The newest free
expansion for current subscribers, Issue 12 brings to life a special
covert group from the game’s lore, highly-anticipated Villain Epic
Archetypes, more powerset options and character slots for players, plus
a whole new Greek- and Roman-inspired zone to explore!

/City of Heroes/ Issue 12, developed and published by NCsoft, brings the
Midnight Squad out of the lore and into the game. The Midnight Squad is
the clandestine organization of mystics, scholars and mages who hold a
secret that could bring the alien group, the Rikti, to its knees.
Players are encouraged to help the Midnight Squad uncover the secret
that could help save Paragon City^™ and the Rogue Isles from further
alien assaults.

Part of this secret will be revealed in a new zone called Cimerora,
which uses the Ouroboros time travel system introduced in Issue 11. This
zone, inspired by ancient Greece and Rome, is only accessible by working
with the Midnight Squad. Once the player has access, both villains and
heroes must face deadly creatures and defeat an unexpected threat. As a
reward for their accomplishments in Cimerora, players can unlock special
Greek- and Roman-inspired armor and costumes.

Another key feature in Issue 12 is Villain Epic Archetypes. Now,
villains who reach level 50 unlock two brand new epic archetypes; Wolf
Spiders and Blood Widows. Wolf Spiders can specialize into Bane Spiders
or Crab Spiders, and Blood Widows can develop into Night Widows or
Fortunatas. Each specialty enjoys a unique set of wickedly powerful attacks.

Issue 12 also introduces Powerset Proliferation
, which
vastly increases the variety of villain and hero characters that players
can create. Some powersets, previously only available to hero
archetypes, are now available to designated villain archetypes, and vice
versa. To help accommodate all of these new character options, the
development team has opened additional character slots. All current
subscribers receive two new character slots for use on the server of
their choice. Other slots may be acquired as a part of the Veteran
program, or for purchase. Details can be found on the /City of Heroes/
web site

“With the introduction of Villain Epic Archetypes, new costume options
and Powerset Proliferation in Issue 12, we knew players would want to be
able to create new characters,” said Matt Miller, lead designer.
“Expanding the number of character slots in this way ensures that our
players can use all these new features. We think it’s a great solution
that adds value to the service.”

To join the adventures of the most successful comic-book themed game on
the market, players can purchase the /City of Heroes/ “Good Versus Evil

Gran Turismo 5 Prologue

Title: Gran Turismo 5 Prologue
Genre: Racing
Publisher: SCEA
Developer: Polyphony Digital
Release Date: April 15, 2008
Rating: 8 out of 10

If it seems like a year is too long to wait for Gran Turismo 5, then Sony will satisfy your love of the road with this abridged and early version. I sort of think that $39.99 is a lot for a teaser, but now that I’ve played it non-stop for days I think it is worth it.

It’s sort of weird how the game starts and you have nothing. You have to buy your first car, and then the collecting starts. Part of the game is about collecting new cars and they’re all different so it is always cool. There are only 60 cars. This is more than enough for me, but still it would be better if there were more. They are sorted by brand such as Ferrari, Acura, Honda, Ford, Mitsubishi, Dodge, etc. There’s plenty of variety in terms of learning how each car handles and accelerates. I’m psyched that I can race using my car, and Acura Integra. There’s not much tuning, but then again, that’s not what GT is for.

The graphics and audio are amazing and enveloping once properly configured. Watching a full 1080p on my 65” HDTV and listening to 7.1 multi-channel sound makes me feel as much of a race car driver as I’ve ever felt if not more so. If anything, GT5 Prologue shows us that GT5 will look stellar. The details are all there. Shadows sweep across the track, water ripples on infield lakes, the steering wheels are leather wrapped. The only disappointment is that the crowd looks like some cardboard cutouts – Sony would have been better off leaving the crowd out completely rather than doing a half-assed job.

The graphics really shine when you start to change camera perspectives while driving. One view involves you sitting behind the wheel, steering left and right, shifting, and tilting your head from side to side. You’ve got side view and rear view mirrors. The details are noteworthy. I’ve never seen another racing game like this. Of course, I find that view hard to use for racing and opt to use one that is almost first person. I think, and I would for someone from Sony to give me a pixel count, that there are more pixels in the rear view mirror of GT5P than there were in the whole screen in my beloved GT on PSX.

So, I’ve lauded graphics, sound, car selection, but what’s missing? I’ll tell you what is missing – tracks. There are only six tracks in GT5P which means that you can learn them quickly and then get a little bored. Apparently it takes more time to make a track than to make a car, which makes sense. There is variety in the choice of tracks, from the straightaways of Daytona to the twisty mountain roads of Eiger. There’s an assist line, but it is more fun to pick your own line. My personal favorite typically involves passing on the grass.

The AI is good, definitely improved. Opponents now jockey for position and cut your off when you try to pass. But still, the AI isn’t that challenging. The game really shines online. After suffering through the required 3 system updates I was able to go online and compete against actual humans. Matching takes place very quickly and the races have close to no lag time. The only funkiness that I noticed was that in crowded races (up to 16 total cars), if there are collisions in the pack then the graphics drop down which sort of makes sense because 4 cars colliding at 125 mph is a lot of info to push all over the world.

Overall, GT5P is great, but short. It is, after all, a teaser of what is to come. And what a tease. Life should have more teases like this. I still think it should cost less, or maybe Sony should have released a version with less cars and less tracks that was completely free. It’s sort of like paying to be teased (I could of course talk about other things that are like paying to be teased but I’m trying to keep this clean). My guess is that I’m going to play the hell out of this for a week or two, then play once in a while, and finally stop playing it entirely when GT5 ships.

Xbox LIVE tops 12 million members globally as Xbox 360 console sales hit
> more than 19 million worldwide
> REDMOND, Wash. - May 14, 2008 - Microsoft Corp. today announced that the
> Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system has sold over 10 million
> units in the U.S., making it the first current-generation gaming console
> to break the 10 million mark in the U.S. The U.S. install base
> contributes to global sales of over 19 million, more than any other
> current-generation console.
> "This year will be the largest in the history of the video game
> industry, with Xbox 360 leading the charge in the U.S. and abroad," said
> Don Mattrick, senior vice president of the Interactive Entertainment
> Business in the Entertainment and Devices Division at Microsoft.
> "History has shown us that the first company to reach 10 million in
> console sales wins the generation battle. We are uniquely positioned to

NCsoft Q1 Financial Results

/Results Show Quarterly Consolidated Sales of KRW 88.1 Billion,
Operating Income of KRW 19.7 Billion and Net Profit of KRW 8.1 Billion;
Operating Income is up 63% Quarter over Quarter and Increases 16% Year
over Year/

SEOUL, South Korea-- NCsoft^® Corporation (KSE: 036570.KS) today
announced financial results for the quarter ended March 31, 2008. On a
consolidated basis, sales came to KRW (Korean Won) 88.1 billion (US
$84.3 million), operating income of KRW 19.7 billion (US $18.9 million),
and net profit of KRW 8.1 billion (US $7.7 million). Operating profit
showed significant improvements quarter over quarter (63%) and year over
year (16%).

Popularity of the /Lineage/^® series in Asia, sustained sales of /Guild
Wars/^® and /City of Heroes/^® in North America and Europe, and a
decrease in expenses such as advertising and other variable sales costs
were some of the primary reasons for the increase in operating income.
Of note in Q1 2008, /Lineage II/ reached record-high sales since its
2003 release.

In Q1 2008, NCsoft decided to take a one time write-off expense for the
advanced development costs associated with the Spacetime Studios
project, after determining the project did not fit into the company’s
core development plan. That left a net profit decrease of 22% quarter
over quarter and 43% year over year. However, excluding the write-off
expenses, net profit would be KRW 15.2 billion (US $14.5 million) an
increase of 48% quarter over quarter and 8% from the same quarter last

By region, sales came to KRW 49.8 billion (US $47.7 million) in South
Korea, KRW 10.9 billion (US $10.4 million) in North America, KRW 8.9
billion (US $8.5 million) in Europe, KRW 9.6 billion (US $9.2 million)
in Japan, KRW 2.8 billion (US $2.7 million) in Taiwan, and KRW 6 billion
(US $5.7 million) in royalty income. The percentage breakdown of sales
by region shows 57% in Korea, 12% in North America, 10% in Europe, 11%
in Japan, 3% in Taiwan and 7% from royalty income.

By game title, sales came to KRW 29 billion (US $27.8 million) from
/Lineage/, KRW 35.7 billion (US $34.1 million) from /Lineage II/, KRW
5.4 billion (US $5.2 million) from /City of Heroes/City of Villains/^®
and KRW 9.5 billion (US $9.1 million) from /Guild Wars./ The percentage
breakdown of sales by game title shows 35% from /Lineage/, 43% from
/Lineage II/ , 7% from /City of Heroes/City of Villains/ and 12% from
/Guild Wars./

NCsoft CFO Jaeho Lee said, “As proven once again in the Q1 financial
results, we strongly believe our key franchise products, such as
/Lineage /and /Guild Wars/, will meet our sales target with a strong
customer base and continued content updates going forward.” And he
added, “We plan to ensure the smooth launch of many new products in the
next two to three years, which will strengthen our position as a global
leader in online games.”

This summer NCsoft plans to launch its third closed beta test of /Aion^®
/ before formally launching the much anticipated product later in the
year. Casual online games such as /Point Blank/^™ /, Punch Monster/^™ /,
Dragonica/^™ /, /and/ Love Beat/^™ are also scheduled for an official
service launch later in the year.

"The need for an ongoing national conversation around the influence of
technology on our children became very clear at the first Sandbox
Summit,” stated Alix Kennedy, Vice President, Editorial Director for
/FamilyFun/ and /Wondertime/ magazines, Disney Publishing Worldwide.
“Technology has afforded a wealth of opportunities, from the educational
to the social, but it has also brought a host of complications, and all
if it - the good and the bad - should be understood and debated by
parents, educators, and technologists."

The inaugural conference, Sandbox Summit: /A Playdate with Technology/,
held at the 2008 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) garnered
industry kudos and international attention. The next conference, Sandbox
Summit: /The New Playing Fields/, will be held on September 24, 2008 in
New York City. This event will focus on the multiple platforms kids are
using to play, learn and communicate in their everyday lives.

As more and more actions and interactions by and between children are
rooted in technology, the way kids play and the “toys” they play
with---from babys’ touch pads to sophisticated cell phones---are
changing. /The New Playing Fields/ will not only delve into the new
types of play, but also debate how effectively techno-enhanced tools
teach kids basic skills such as problem solving and critical thinking.

“Self-initiated play is neither a waste of time nor a luxury, but
rather, a fundamental way in which children gain basic intellectual,
emotional and social skills,” states David Elkind, Ph.D., Professor
Emeritus of Child Development at Tufts University, and author of /The
Hurried Child. “/If we distort the opportunities for free play, we’re
depriving children of learning what they cannot acquire in any other way.”

“Look in any kid’s room---from the nursery to the college dorm—and
you’ll see how technology fills up their space,” observes toy industry
expert and Sandbox Summit cofounder Wendy Smolen. “Kids want and expect
their toys and tools to be state of the art. We want to make sure that
what we give them makes them active users of technology, rather than
passive consumers.”

“We’ve crossed the digital Rubicon,” said Claire Green, President of
Parents’ Choice Foundation, and cofounder of the Sandbox Summit. “It is
in the interest of businesses, educators, and consumers–both children
and parents–to make sure that the techno-charged activities that absorb
our children provide them with the kind of open-ended experiences that
stimulate creative and critical thinking.”

Nintendo Launches WiiWare: An Open Playground for Creativity

Downloadable Game Service Delivers Developers’ New Ideas Directly to

This is apparently more of a revolution than Xbox Live - Matt

REDMOND, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Nintendo’s Wii™ console has already
changed the way people play games. Now its new WiiWare™ service
decisively tears down limitations for how developers create games – and
the way people receive them.

Starting today, Wii owners with an Internet connection can download new,
creative games from a wide range of developers, from large publishers to
indie shops. By reducing the barriers that make console game development
prohibitively expensive, WiiWare showcases original ideas in the most
democratic environment in industry history, connecting the people who make
games more directly with the people who play them.

WiiWare frees developers from the traditional constraints of video game
development. WiiWare lets developers experiment with big ideas and small
budgets to the benefit of players everywhere. Newer, smaller teams now
have an outlet for their creative ideas. The constantly growing WiiWare
library will have a regular flow of unique video gaming experiences
consumers might not otherwise have access to.

“WiiWare is to the video game industry what independent films are to
Hollywood,” said Cammie Dunaway, Nintendo of America’s executive vice
president of Sales & Marketing. “WiiWare lets developers experiment with
new ideas and experiences. Combined with our collection of classic Virtual
Console games, Wii provides one-stop shopping for the greatest games of
the past – and the future.”

WiiWare games are easy to download. Just go to the WiiWare section of
the Wii Shop Channel, find the game you want, redeem Wii Points™ and
start the download. Wii Points can be purchased in the Wii Shop Channel or
at retail outlets. New games, at various Wii Point values, will be added
to WiiWare on Mondays. The newly launched Nintendo Channel on Wii will let
people view videos of and read information about WiiWare games and other
Nintendo products. Users also can see player opinions to help them decide
what to play next.

Today, the inaugural lineup of WiiWare games is just a taste of things
to come:

(Square Enix, 1 player, Rated E for Everyone – Mild Fantasy Violence, Mild
Suggestive Themes, 1,500 Wii Points): FINAL FANTASY CRYSTAL CHRONICLES: My
Life as a King takes a legendary franchise and launches it into the realm
of simulation gaming. Players are challenged to rebuild a kingdom, leading
its young king on a path of discovery through an adventure bristling with
mystery and intrigue.

LostWinds™ (Frontier Development, 1-2 players, Rated E for Everyone
– Mild Fantasy Violence, 1,000 Wii Points): A fresh, enchanting platform
adventure that puts the power of the wind in the palm of your hand –
from raging tornados to the gentlest breeze. You’ll wield your Wii Remote™
controller to power Toku’s jumps and glides, suspend and smash
enemies, meet friends and solve puzzles using LostWinds’ novel, intuitive
and playful control system.

Defend your Castle™ (XGen Studios, 1-4 players, Rated E for Everyone
– Cartoon Violence, 500 Wii Points): Defend your Castle takes place
on a grassy plain surrounded by invaders. You are the commander of your
castle, and it is your duty to fling the invading enemies sky-high,
watching them plummet to their demise. As you progress, add powerful
spells and upgrades to your arsenal for repelling the attacks. How long
can you hold them off?

Pop™ (Nnooo, 1-4 players, Rated E for Everyone, 700 Wii Points): Pop
bubbles to score points and stop the timer from running out. Pop can be
enjoyed by anyone – casual gamers can simply play to pop bubbles and
keep the game moving, whereas advanced players will need to pick their
shots rapidly and accurately and generate combos to maximize their score.

V.I.P. Casino: Blackjack™ (High Voltage Software®, Inc., 1-4
players, Rated T for Teen – Simulated Gambling, 700 Wii Points): V.I.P.
Casino: Blackjack re-creates the casino experience, with fully animated
players and a realistic Las Vegas dealer. Single players can increase
their bankrolls, while multiple players can engage in a head-to-head
mini-blackjack tournament.

TV Show King (Gameloft, 1-4 players, Rated E for Everyone, 1,000 Wii
Points): TV Show King transforms your living room into a real TV quiz show
studio where you’ll face the challenge of answering more than 3,000
questions across six different categories. Compete against family and
friends and use your Wii Remote controller in original ways to make it to
the finals to see who can win the greatest amount of cash in one final,
deciding duel.

Cartoon Network Launches New Build-Your-Own Ben 10: Alien

*New /Ben 10: Alien Force Game Creator/ and current record-holding /Ben
10/ digital offerings build excitement for newly revamped series of hit
animated show*

Cartoon Network New Media today launched /Ben 10 Alien Force: Game
Creator/, a new, free online game that merges the popular animated
action franchise with user-generated content, marking the first game of
its kind.

Beginning today, fans can access the tools and animations they need to
build their own action-adventure game featuring the new series /Ben 10:
Alien Force,/ which premiered with record-breaking ratings April 18 on
Cartoon Network. The game is based on the new Ben 10 series, which
advances the plot five years into the future. The /Ben 10: Alien Force
Game Creator/ lets users easily build their own online games and share
them with fans everywhere. Players choose their own hero from four of
Ben's new aliens-Swampfire, Humongousaur, Jetray and Spidermonkey-each
of which has unique powers and abilities that impact game play.
Completed games can be shared with friends and sent to
CartoonNetwork.com's game gallery for other fans to play and rate.

/Ben 10/ games are consistently among the most popular of the 190+ free
games at CartoonNetwork.com. Most recently, the first game based on the
new series, /Ben 10 Alien Force: Forever Defense,/ smashed records on
the site, scoring more than five million game plays in its debut week of
March 10 - 16, 2008. The previous game-play record-holder for the site
was also from /Ben 10/ with /Ben 10: Savage Pursuit/, which grabbed more
than four million game plays its first week online in October of 2007.

"This year we will launch thousands of new games-or, rather, our
audience will," said Paul Condolora, senior vice president, Digital for
Turner's Animation, Young Adults and Kids Media Group. "/Ben 10: Alien
Force Game Creator/ gives kids the power and creative freedom to build
and publish their own games and is a first step in our ambition to
become the number one online destination where kids go to create, play
and share games."

/Ben 10/ games currently dominate the top 10 most popular games at
CartoonNetwork.com, holding five of the top ten spots, including /Ben
10: Alien Force Forever Defense/ at No. 2; /Ben 10: Alien Force Action
Packs at No. 3; Ben 10: Battle Ready/ at No. 4 and /Ben 10: Cannonbolt
Pinball/ at No. 5.

/Ben 10/ characters are also part of Cartoon Network New Media?s
upcoming foray into the massively multiplayer online gaming market with
/Cartoon Network Universe: FusionFall/. In addition, /Ben 10/ has
invaded the mobile space with its title on Cartoon Network's games
channel on Smashing Games for Verizon subscribers. Ring tones and
wallpapers for mobile devices also are available at CartoonNetwork.com.

/Ben 10/ premiered on Cartoon Network in January 2006 and has
consistently been the network's #1 show on Saturday mornings. Along
with the new series, /Ben 10/ has also spawned a tremendously successful
toy and video game line as well as two hit television movies. The
live-action movie /Ben 10: Race Against Time/ set record ratings for the
network when over 13 million viewers watched during its 2007
Thanksgiving weekend premiere.

The newest /Ben 10/ series,/ Ben 10: Alien Force,/ premiered Friday,
April 18, 2008 at 8 p.m. (ET, PT), and was the most-watched original
series premiere in Cartoon Network history. The new series began the
next chapter in the /Ben 10/ saga five years later, when 15-year-old Ben
Tennyson chooses to once again put on the OMNITRIX. He discovers that
it has reconfigured his DNA and can now transform him into 10 brand new
aliens. Joined by his super-powered cousin Gwen Tennyson and his
equally powerful former enemy Kevin Levin, Ben is on a mission to find
his missing Grandpa Max. In order to save his Grandpa, Ben must defeat
the evil DNAliens, a powerful alien race intent on destroying the
galaxy, starting with planet Earth. Ben joins forces with other young
heroes to save the galaxy and his Grandpa Max, while passing along his
knowledge to a whole new generation.

Two New Classic Games Added to Wii Shop Channel

Which is more important: brains or brawn? Before you answer, check out
this week’s awesome additions to the Wii™ Shop Channel, which give you
ample opportunity to flex both. One game features frantic puzzle action
with a Pokémon® twist, while the other invites players to brawl and battle
in the name of justice. If you’re anxious to test your mental mettle
or your action-adventure muscle, these classic titles are just the ticket.

Nintendo adds new games to the Wii Shop Channel at 9 a.m. Pacific time
every Monday. Wii™ owners with a high-speed Internet connection can
redeem Wii Points™ to download the games. Wii Points can be purchased in
the Wii Shop Channel or at retail outlets. This week’s new games

Pokémon Puzzle League (Nintendo 64®, 1-2 players, Rated E for
Everyone, 1,000 Wii Points): Get ready for a new kind of Pokémon battle
where the power and speed of your brain are just as important as the
strength of your Pokémon. Join Ash, Brock, Misty and many more characters
from the Pokémon animated series as they gather in Puzzle Village to
compete for the title of Pokémon Puzzle Master. Just match three or
more blocks of the same color in any direction. Sounds simple, right? But
the actual game play is surprisingly addictive and deep (chains and
combos anyone?), especially when you’re facing off against a human
opponent. Choose from six different modes offering a wide range of action,
from story or puzzle modes to continuous play or timed play. If that’s not
enough, take on the challenge in 3-D and get ready for more blocks than
ever before. Featuring animated cut scenes combined with bright, fun
graphics, there’s enough to satisfy any fan of Pokémon or puzzle games.

Renegade™ (NES®, 1-2 players, Rated E10+ for Everyone 10 and Older –
Mild Violence, 500 Wii Points): Renegade follows the story of a
vigilante who fights his way through countless gangs in order to bring
peace back to his city. Battle your way through subways, parks, alleyways
and parking lots. For added fun, there’s a wild motorcycle ride to
challenge you. Use your arsenal of kicks, punches (including the infamous
sit-on punch) and jump kicks, as well as a variety of throws to knock your
opponents into submission. Along the way, pick up items like a hamburger
that restores your life, a heart that increases your lives by one, a
power-up to increase your attack strength, and a speed item that gives you
a speed burst while on your motorcycle. You’ll need all the help you can
get to take out your aggression on street punks, thugs, outlaw bikers,
killer kung-fu females and an array of bosses standing in your way. Take
the law into your own hands to defeat countless scumbags and take your
city back like the renegade you are.
